Cheese Burger Salad

Ingredients: 2 Turkey Burgers cooked 2 slices of cheese melted on top of burgers 3 cups chopped lettuce 1 tomato chopped in bite size peices 1/4 cup onion chopped 1 dill pickle chopped Ketchup to taste Chopped burgers into bite size peices and place on plate with lettuce,tomato,pickle and onion. Sprinkle top of mixture with ketchup and enjoy! It tastes way better than it sounds.

Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients: 1 can of cream of celery soup 1 can of cream of potato soup 2 cups of fresh or frozen broccoli and cauliflower 1 cup milk 1 pound chopped and par cooked chicken 1 package of instant dinner rolls Partially cook the chicken then add all ingredients to casserole dish except the rolls and stir mixture. Chop rolls into quarters and place on top of mixture. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes until rolls are golden brown then enjoy a really good home cooked meal.

Basic batter waffles:

2- Eggs 1 2/3 cups milk 1/3 cup vegetable oil 2 cups of flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 2 tablespoons sugar ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon of maple extract( optional) Mix all ingredients gently, cook on hot waffle iron with oil rubbed on prior to heating. Cook until golden brown and crunchy. These also freeze very well in ziplock bags.
Beef stew 1 pound chuck steak cubed 1 large onion chopped 3 cloves of fresh garlic 3 stalks of fresh celery 5-7 large potatoes peeled and chopped 1 cup button mushrooms 3 large carrots Place raw cubed meat in ziplock bag and pour ½ cup flour over meat. Seal bag and shake bag until meat is evenly coated. Stew can be made either on the stove or crock pot. Place meat into heated pan with 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, fry meat for 3-5 minutes until outside is seared. Add other ingredients to pot. Cook slowly and add ½ cup warm water as needed to keep mixture moist. After all meat and vegetables are tender the stew should be ready to eat. If stew is to thick add warm water,if it is to thin add cornstarch and water mixture to taste.

Broccoli Chicken Alfredo

Easy Version ½ package linguine 1 cup fresh or frozen broccoli 2 tbls butter 1 lb boneless chicken breast cubed 1 can of cream of mushroom soup ½ cup grated parmeasan cheese ¼ tsp pepper Cook pasta according to package instructions,add broccoli for the last 4 minutes of boiling then drain. Heat butter in skillet,add chicken and cook until nicely browned stirring regularly. Add to skillet all other ingredients and heat through. Sprinkle cheese over the top before serving. This is quick and nutritious.

Polish Sausage and Sour Kraut

Polish Sausage and Sour Kraut 1 pound polish sausage 1 can or bag of sour kraut ½ cup brown sugar 1 can of pineapple 3 large peeled potatoes - optional 1 cup sliced carrots - optional Crock pot or slow cook in oven Place drained and rinsed sour kraut in bottom of crock pot, sprinkle brown sugar over kraut and then about half the can of pineapple and mix together. Put sausage on top and cook on low for 2-3 hour. This is easy and your family will think you spent hours cooking. Also you can add cubed potatoes and sliced carrots to the kraut.The kraut tenderized the meat and also sweetens the potatoes .

Homemade Soft Taco Shells

Homemade Soft Taco Shells( Tortillas) 5 cups flour 1 tsp.baking powder 1 tsp. Salt ¾ cup crisco or shortening 1-1 ½ cups warm water Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl, add in shortening and mix with hands until crumbly. Add warm water a little at a time until dough like consistency. If to sticky add more flour if to dry add more water. Separate into pieces about 12-20 depending on size wanted. Roll each piece into a ball then flatten on counter and roll with rolling pin into a circle,do not flip while rolling out. Heat frying pan without any oil to about 275F,place dough onto skillet and flip after 20 seconds or until lightly browned(very lightly).Cover each one in a stack under a towel and when cooled freeze with wax paper in between each slice and slide into freezer bag. Last up to 12 months frozen. Seal all natural bread products in air tight ziplock bags and keep in refrigerator for maximum shelf life,remember these breads do not have preservatives in them to increase the length...
